The University of Sheffield's eighth annual Learning and Teaching Conference is centered around how current developments in technology can be used to aide student learning. Participants will have the opportunity to hear from more than fifty speakers stemming from various sectors of the University of Sheffield as they discuss the implications of current and emerging technologies upon various stages of the academic process. The conference will provide you with presentations, workshops and exhibitions on topics as varied as the impact of social media to whether giving students the chance to work on collaborative wiki's would enhance their learning. This year, the conference will be held in the Students' Union on Tuesday 7 January 2014. More information about the purpose and scope of the conference can be found on the About page.

Programme
The conference is packed full of events, and one cannot see them all as many run parallel to one another. Fortunately, full details of the day can be found on the Programme page, accessible from the navigation bar above. There are 3 time slots and 18 events, meaning there are 6 events on each slot which run parallel with each other. You can look at sessions that run parallel by choosing a time slot from the programme sub-menu.

Click on the title of an event to find out more information about it, including where the event will be held on the day. More will be added to these pages in the run up to, and following on from, the conference day, including PowerPoint Presentations, pictures and recordings, so check back regularly. You can subscribe by RSS feed in order to be updated when new material is added by clicking on the subscription option on the right hand pane.

You can also download PDF files of the Programme and Abstract Booklet from the left hand pane under "Downloadable PDF's".

Exhibition Space
The Exhibition Space will be located on Level 4 of the Students' Union. Check out the Exhibition page to find out more about the exhibits on offer and the people behind them. Expect more material to be added following the conference.

Location
The Location page of this website will help you find the Students' Union Building (the location of the conference), and provides annotated images detailing how to go about finding some of the main areas. You will also find floor plans of Students' Union here if you are unfamiliar with the building. Assistants will be on hand to help guide you to your next event.
